On rare occasions the work of an artist departs from the range and scope of his contemporaries.

Carlos Quintana is a prime example of an artist whose work is basically unrelated to the work of other artists, he is original in every respect. Of the many artists I have known, few have shown the insight Carlos has in his portrayal of humanity.

Quintana is the only well-known Cuban artist whose post-expressionism art with its bold colors, noticeably sets him apart from his peers and allows the observer to compare his art with the best of post-expressionism art.

The unique subject matter of his art, which is emphasized by its brilliance is striking, marks Quintana as a world-class artist whose work is recognized internationally.
